V Balaveeriah and Sons was established by Shri Vattam Balaeveeriah Garu in 1948 with a primary vision of connecting the big manufacturers from metropolitan cities to the remotest villages of our country to deliver quality material for the last mile

Today, the company is connected to more than 1,500 dealers spread across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra. Our material is sourced from a network of suppliers spread across more than ten states.

The Force

About the Leadership – VBS Group (V. Balaveeriah and Sons)

Creating a Legacy

In the year 1948, Shri Vattam Balaveeriah garu saw a great opportunity to be a part of the infrastructure boom that newly independent India would be experiencing for the next century. He believed in connecting the big manufacturers from metropolitan cities to the remotest villages of our country to deliver quality material for the last mile as well as create a great opportunity to build a business with high barriers of entry in our then complicated tax regime and lack of strong logistical systems.

His belief, commitment and vision made him start V. Balaveeriah and Sons in 1948 as a company that trades and distributes construction, infrastructure and agriculture related products made primarily from Iron and Steel. His vision to reach and deliver goods to the remotest villages in the Old Nizam area of today’s Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra enabled big brands like Asian Paints, Tata Agrico, Tata Steel Etc. to increase their geographical footprint in the most efficient way possible.

For nearly four decades, Balaveeriah garu headed the company and laid a huge platform of opportunity for the next generation of Vattam family to lead the company to greater heights of success and prosperity.

Picking up the Legacy

Shri Vattam Nageshwar Rao garu, the fourth child and third son of Shri Vattam Balaveeriah garu joined V Balaveeriah and Sons at a very young age of 20 handling various verticals of the organization like Iron, Hardware, Paints and Agricultural Tools parallelly. His ability to handle multiple tasks and dealing with multiple people at the same time was his greatest asset and contributions for the company.

Vattam Nageshwar Rao garu’s contributions to the growth and development of the organization are innumerable and some of the important contributions were introducing computers and information technology in operational activities like invoicing and accounting, expanding wholesale, retail and rebranding of paint products vertical, expanding the logistical capacity of the company by setting up two new state of the art warehouses

. Nageshwar Rao garu’s vision of making quality products available to consumers at affordable prices laid the foundation stone for our VBS brand of products. He started this with paints and Centering products and the next generation of Vattam family expanded the brand portfolio. His biggest and most cherished contribution to the organization would be his grooming and training of many individuals inside and outside the Vattam family to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and safeguarding the legacy created by Shri Vattam Balaveeriah garu.

Carrying the Legacy

Vattam Vishwanath, the eldest son of Nageshwar Rao garu has been actively involved in the business for more than two decades and has played a vital role in expanding the product portfolio of the company. Shanmukha Colour World was established as a part of the VBS Group to deliver decorative paint products on a retail level exploring new opportunities. He was mainly responsible for the rapid growth the organization saw in TMT and MS Pipes segment.

Vishwanath with a vertical integration vision of the organization, sowed the seed for VBS Industries and VBS Industries LLP expanding the VBS group into manufacturing multiple infrastructure and fencing products. He has been relentlessly working for the organization to achieve upstream vertical integration of manufacturing and downstream vertical integration of distribution network for the organization.

Vattam Srinath, the second son of Nageshwar Rao garu has been actively involved in the business for more than a decade after attaining his BE and MBA degrees. Building on his father’s vision of making quality products available to consumers at affordable prices, he always pushed for adding new products to the VBS brand portfolio. Under his leadership the VBS Brand has a portfolio of more than 50 SKUs as of today

His strong customer relations and marketing acumen took the VBS brand as the top choice of customers seeking quality at affordable prices. He has always taken value for money as the topmost priority metric while taking any decision about VBS Brand products.

Vattam Bhargav, the youngest son of Nageshwar Rao garu has been actively involved in the business for more than five years after B.Tech, MBA and MS in Business Finance degrees. He worked as a Financial Analyst in the USA for more than four years before joining VBS Group. He has been given the opportunity to bring more digitalization and structuring of the organization to evolve from a family owned business to a corporation under the guidance of his elder brothers.

His approach towards Pre and Post sales activities of the organization intertwined with Human resources has been helpful in expanding the organization’s scale of activity in a very short period. His strong belief in providing best possible quality, service and prices resonates the belief system of his brothers., father and grandfather.
